CHINA'S central bank is releasing 60 million souvenir coins today with a face value of 1 yuan (15 US cents) to commemorate World Expo 2010 Shanghai.
One side of the coin is imprinted with Expo mascot Haibao against a background of Shanghai's landmark buildings. The other side features the Expo logo.
The coins are the same size as an ordinary 1 yuan coin and can be purchased at 88 authorized outlets of major commercial banks from today at face value.
