Financial association inks deal with Roland Berger
THE Shanghai Financial Association signed an agreement with Roland Berger Strategy Consultant today to compile the Shanghai Financial Climate Index.
"The index is aimed at providing a reference for the local financial climate and the city's progress towards becoming an international financial hub," the association said at a press conference.
The two parties first compiled the financial index in April 2011. It gauges the strength and development of the city's financial industry.
The association was founded in April 2009, and now has 470 members in the banking, securities, insurance and futures sectors.
Association Chairman Niu Ximing, who is also president of the Bank of Communications, said: "In the next stage, the association will expand membership, promote cross-regional financial exchanges and cooperation to support the establishment of an international financial center in Shanghai."
