Firms, commerce bodies in CIIE pacts

Leading enterprises, authorities, foreign commerce chambers and organizations inked agreements yesterday to participate in the fourth China International Import Expo or memorandums of long-term cooperation, just 200 days before the start of the fourth CIIE.

Some of the top companies present yesterday include Hitachi, BWT, Richemont, Tissot, Pirelli, Sanofi and Siemens Healthcare among others.

Overseas institutions included the German Overseas Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Korean International Trade Association.

All of them signed cooperation deal with the CIIE bureau. The bureau said preparations for the fourth expo were making steady progress. During the expo, more high-quality and new products, services and technologies will be presented to better meet the needs of industrial development and betterment of people鈥檚 lives.

The signing area had exceeded 65 percent of the total planned area by yesterday.

Sun Chenghai, deputy director of the bureau, said that the fourth expo will keep on serving as a window to enhance the 鈥渄ual circulation鈥 economy, give full play to its functions as platforms for international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchanges and open cooperation.

Enterprises are encouraged to broaden their contacts with more potential partners and introduce their up-to-date products and services into the Chinese market.
