Good balance book for JD Daojia

JINGDONG Daojia, the on-demand logistics and grocery online to offline e-commerce platform, said today its income in the first half jumped nearly eight times thanks to the picking up of delivery services.

Monthly gross merchandise volume (GMV) growth pace reached 30 percent in the first half and the number of online orders also rose 20 percent, with more consumers embrace swift delivery and integrated online and offline shopping experience.

JD Daojia merged with the crowd-sourcing delivery platform Dada last year, and it partners with merchants and local retailers by offering on-demand grocery, food, and general merchandise shipping for consumers using the JD.com shopping platform. 

Walmart's monthly transaction size through JD Daojia jumped nearly four times in June from that of January, and the booming online delivery services has enabled retailers to reach a wider range of consumer that use JD's online shopping platform.

JD Daojia now connects with more than 70,000 offline retail outlets in 22 domestic cities including famous supermarket chains such as Walmart, Auchan and Yonghui, offering one-hour delivery to maximize their operation efficiency.
