Hair fair opens in Shanghai

THE 8th China International Hair Fair opened today at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, showcasing the latest products and services in hairdressing, wigs, hair care, hair growth and hair accessories.
About 50,000 visitors, including buyers, agents, distributors, hairstylists and industry experts are expected at the fair, which will run through Sunday.
At the fair there is also the China Hair Museum, which exhibits the traditional tools for hair cuts in China and pictures of old-styled hairdressing to paint the path of the development of the industry.
China is the world’s largest manufacturer and exporter of hair-related products, with more than 4 million people involved in the industry, which is considered a booming sector.
