JD.com eyes the growing enterprise market
China’s leading B2C shopping website JD.com has signed corporate sourcing contracts with dozens of multinational companies in an effort to tap into the growing enterprise market.
JD.com will leverage its technology capability to connect its e-commerce sourcing platform with enterprise resource planning systems to ensure swift procurement process without changing their internal management processes and assessment procedures.
JD.com’s sourcing platform would be fully integrated with corporate clients’ enterprise resource planning systems, thus saving trouble for companies to set up an internal sourcing platform, said Song Chunzheng, vice president for JD.com marketplace and deputy general manager for JD.com’s corporate clients uni.
Dozens of companies including Unilever, Philips, L’Oreal and Novo Nordisk have partnered with JD.com to carry out their procurement processes
Backed by its supply chain advantages and its nationwide logistics infrastructure, JD said it hopes to help corporate clients to reduce procurement cost and lift efficiency.
