New Lingang business watchdog
A new business watchdog has taken over in Lingang in the Pudong New Area, after an administration for market regulation in the special area of the Shanghai free trade zone was established yesterday.
The new agency is under the supervision of Lingang Special Area Administrative Committee. The Pudong New Area and Fengxian District had previously been in charge of business registration and licenses. Responsibilities for licensing, supervision and law enforcement within the Yangshan Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone will be transferred to the administration.
Yan Yijun, director of the newly established administration, told Shanghai Daily that working closely with his colleagues in Pudong and Fengxian is a major task in the next stage.
“Under the leadership of the Lingang Administrative Committee, the Lingang market regulatory administration will also strive for support of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation to make breakthroughs in business registration and verification, and deepen the reform of separation of license and enterprise credit management,” Yan said.
“We will create simplified business access and fair competition to give full play to Lingang’s role in reform and innovation, demonstration and guidance, and overcoming difficulties,” he said.
