Oil prices rise today

FUEL prices in Shanghai rose today as gasoline and diesel across China has been raised 50 yuan (US$7.3) per ton by the nation’s top economic planner.

The ceiling retail price for 92-octane gasoline in Shanghai’s service stations is now 6.49 yuan per liter, up from 6.45 per liter, and 95-octane gasoline sells 6.91 yuan from 6.87 yuan. Zero-grade diesel is raised to 6.11 yuan from 6.07 yuan.

Citizens pay about 2 yuan more to fuel a private car measured with a 50-liter tank.
