Partnership to combine audio content with the Internet

SHANGHAI East Radio Company's new media affiliate Ajmide Media Co has reached a strategic partnership with lifestyle services provider Meituan Dianping Group to bring together the capability of Internet technology and audio content.
The partnership will combine the resources of Shanghai East Radio's audio content production ability to link with Meituan Dianping's merchants information to allow radio listeners and Internet users easier access to online information.
Wang Zhiping, Shanghai Media Group's vice president and party chief of Shanghai East Radio, said at the cooperation signing ceremony today that it seeks to contribute to new business models and to drive synergies and a win-win situation. "It's a new foray following the "Internet Plus" initiative and also a new collaboration between different business formats and media segments," he said.
Meituan Dianping senior vice president Jiang Yueping said audio and video live-streaming services are also expected to be connected with Meituan Dianping's offline merchants resources to help them target specific consumer groups through Ajmide's smartphone application. The two parties share the same target of raising consumer life quality and their focus on local lifestyle services would also unleash great potential in terms of radio streaming services.
