Power of Internet
MORE than 600,000 Chinese enterprises will directly report data to state-level or state-approved provincial-level data centers through the Internet, the National Bureau of Statistics said yesterday.
The move, part of the bureau's efforts to refine its data generation system, will enable it to skip intermediate links to directly access raw data.
These enterprises will include large industries, qualified building companies and property developers, as well as large wholesale, retail, accommodation and catering firms, the bureau said.
By the end of February 2012, they will be able to submit this year's annual reports and the data for next year's January to February period through a direct data-reporting network system, which has been basically completed.
