Shanghai stocks edged up yesterday due to a strong performance by agricultural shares.

The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.07 percent to end at 3,281.87 points.

Muyuan Foods Co Ltd gained by the daily limit of 10 percent to 32.12 yuan as did Chuying Agro-Pastoral to 4.79 yuan and Liaoning Wellhope Agri-Tech Ltd to 9.76 yuan.
