Survey: 41% in Shanghai feel financial crisis squeeze
ABOUT 41 percent of respondents in Shanghai said they have felt the pinch of the financial crisis, lower than the 47 percent average on the Chinese mainland, MillwardBrownACSR said today in a survey.
"It's quite interesting that people in Shanghai feel less vulnerable to the financial crisis, maybe it's because it is not industrial-dependent like Shenzhen and Guangdong Province," said Chan Yee Mei, group account director of the company.
The company surveyed 11,301 respondents online between November 27 and December 22.
The company is preparing a new survey with similar questions asked after Christmas. The results will be released after the Lunar New Year holiday.
