GERMANY'S Continental has launched its first tire plant in China to tap growing demand.
The 185-million-euro (US$262 million) plant in Hefei, Anhui Province, is capable of producing 4 million tires a year. The plant's capacity can be expanded to 16 million tires a year later with further investments, the company said.
