Car maker loses suit
CHINA-BASED Great Wall Motor Co has been banned from selling its Peri compact car in Europe after the car maker lost a law suit against Fiat SpA for copyright infringement.
A court in Turin, Italy, has ruled that Great Wall's Peri copied the design patent of Fiat models. It ordered the Chinese firm to pay 15,000 euros (US$21,200) in compensation, Great Wall said yesterday in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
