Mercedes sales rise

MERCEDES-BENZ reported sales in Chinese mainland rose 11 percent to 3,200 units last month as it added new models to appeal to consumers amid declining new car sales. The German luxury car maker said China became the biggest market for its high-end S-Class sedans with imports rising 26 percent last month from a year earlier. Its sport-utility vehicles achieved a sales jump of 80 percent during the same period.
