CHINA'S auto market is no match for the United States despite its better performance in new vehicle sales last month, Dong Yang, deputy director of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said yesterday.
Dong said it is possible that China would surpass the US in new vehicle sales this year due to the government's measures to boost the automotive industry and stimulate consumer confidence. But the situation is only temporary, and China trails the US in R&D, corporate management, market scale and market services, he said.
