GERMAN car maker Volkswagen AG yesterday said its worldwide sales fell 4.7 percent last month as the global economic downturn kept consumers from buying new cars.
Europe's largest auto maker by sales said it sold 541,600 vehicles globally last month against 568,100 a year earlier. Its flagship VW brand showed the strongest sales.
