Volvo Car Corp Recalls XC60 models

CHINA'S quality watchdog said yesterday that Volvo Car Corp will recall 4,640 Volvo XC60 vehicles with seat material problem on the Chinese mainland from today.
The recall is due to a glitch in the material used inside the driver's seat and front passenger's seat, and involves vehicles from the 2009 and 2010 Volvo XC60 models, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
Under the impact of extrusion, the material might twist and touch the seat belt buttons to unbuckle the belts, threatening the safety of occupants, said a company statement.
