LCD Makers Face EU Probe
PHILIPS and South Korea's LG Display said yesterday they had got a charge sheet from the European Union's executive arm about suspected price-fixing on LCD panels.
The European Commission said earlier it had sent a "statement of objections" to some liquid-crystal display makers for suspected breach of cartel rules, but did not name the firms involved.
Philips said it got the sheet as a ex-shareholder of LG Display and this did not mean it was directly involved.
