Results of an official survey released yesterday showed the total value of Macau's retail sales for the second quarter of 2010 amounted to 6.84 billion patacas (US$855 million), an on-year gain of 32 percent.
In comparison with the revised figure for the first quarter, the value of retail sales for the second quarter fell by 1 percent, according to the results of an industry survey conducted by Macau's Statistics and Census Service.
In the first half of 2010, total value of retail sales rose sharply by annual 35 percent to 13.77 billion patacas.
