Promoting tourism

CHINESE lifestyle and local services platform Meituan-Dianping and UK-based Merlin Entertainments sealed a strategic agreement to sell tickets online and promote domestic and overseas tourist attractions to tap rising interest among Chinese in traveling. The two parties will build a special brand page for popular tourist attractions such as Madame Tassauds in Shanghai on Meituan-Dianping’s website to allow visitors to leave comments and post questions to boost the attractions. Merlin Entertainments plans to launch a Legoland amusement park with its partner China Media Capital in Shanghai in the future, earlier media reports said.
