CIC sets up fund
CHINA Investment Corp, a sovereign wealth fund, has tied up with two foreign companies to launch a fund that will help Chinese firms invest in Europe.
CIC signed an agreement with the Belgian Federal Holding and Investment Co and private equity company A Capital in Brussels on Wednesday.
The fund, alongside private or state-owned Chinese companies, plans to take minority stakes in European firms with annual sales of more than 100 million euros (US$131.5 million) and good growth potential in China.
