CPI Increases 5.19% In Macau
MACAU'S Consumer Price Index went up 5.19 percent in May from the same period of last year, according to the city's Statistics and Census Service.
It was the second time that Macau's CPI rose over 5 percent this year, following a year-on-year increase of 5.46 percent in March.
Transport, miscellaneous goods and services, as well as food posted year-on-year increases of more than 6 percent during the period. Reduced charges for mobile phone services led to a 8.18 percent year-on-year drop in communication costs.
