China's inflation gains 6.1% in September
CONSUMER Price Index (CPI), a key gauge of inflation, increased 6.1 percent in September from a year earlier, slower than August's 6.2 percent, the National Bureau of Statistics said today. Food costs jumped 13.4 percent in September compared to the year-ago period.
The Producer Price Index, which is used to calculate inflation at the wholesale level, jumped 6.5 percent year on year in last month.
