SHANGHAI'S Party Secretary Yu Zhengsheng yesterday said the city welcomes Zurich Financial Services Group's new China subsidiary to Shanghai when he met the group's Chief Executive Martin Senn.
Zurich Financial intends to plug into Shanghai's potential as a leading global financial center.
The group has already set up a research center for shipping and finance in the city, which aims to become a global financial and shipping hub by 2020.
