Export growth picks up in September
China's exports rose 9.9 percent year on year to US$186.35 billion in September, official data showed today.
The export volume hit a record monthly high and the growth was higher than the 2.7 percent year on year increase posted in August, according to figures from the General Administration of Customs (GAC).
Imports ended three months of consecutive drops in September, up 2.4 percent from a year earlier to US$158.68 billion.
Trade surplus rose slightly to US$27.67 billion from US$26.66 billion in August, the GAC said.
