TAIWAN'S jobless rate hit a record high of 5.8 percent last month, rising for the 11th straight month amid an economic slump, the authorities said yesterday.
The number of unemployed workers rose to 630,000 from 624,000 in February with the increase coming from company closures and layoffs.
