THE International Monetary Fund yesterday said financial institutions around the world could suffer more than US$4 trillion in losses from the global credit crisis with the United States leading the way with a total of US$2.7 trillion.
The US$2.7-trillion estimate for the US was nearly double the IMF's projection just six months ago.
