Partnership to facilitate auto and manufacturing industries in Anting

ANTING Town government and Tongji University announced today that it will establish and develop an industrial zone located around Tongji University in Jiading District.
The industrial zone, called Tongji University Ring Intelligent Industry City, consists of two parts including a high-tech industrial zone and a modern living zone.
“The Tongji University Ring Intelligent City will focus on the industrial transformation and upgrade, including automotive industry and high-end manufacturing,” said Dong Aihua, town mayor of Anting.
By the end of 2019, the economic output of the industrial zone is expected to reach 30 to 50 billion yuan, according to the Anting Town government. The intelligent zone will cover an area of 300,000 to 500,000 square meters.
It aims to attract more than 200 new enterprises by 2019. The Anting Town government is going to invest 100 million yuan (US$14.5 million) and attract more than 1,000 industry talents to work in the intelligent zone.
The Tongji University Ring Intelligent City will focus on four industries, including new-energy vehicle and intelligent vehicle, intelligent manufacturing, auto service industry and emerging culture and information technology.
By the end of 2016, there are 136 high-tech companies, 12 regional headquarters of multinational companies and 14 Fortune Global 500 enterprises located in Anting Town in Jading District.
