THE government gave 12.67 billion yuan (US$1.9 billion) to power distributors and producers to fund the reconstruction of plants and grids after the Sichuan earthquake and the nation's worst snowstorm last year.
China gave 8.73 billion yuan to State Grid Corp of China and injected 3.34 billion yuan into China Southern Power Grid Co, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission said on its Website yesterday.
China Huaneng Group and China Huadian Corp each received 250 million yuan from the central government, and China Datang Corp, the parent company of Datang Power, got 100 million yuan.
