THE European Central Bank left its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 1 percent yesterday.
The bank's key refinancing rate has been at a record low since May as the bank moved to get cash flowing among banks to help them during the financial crisis.
The ECB sets interest rates for the 16 countries that use the euro.
