Tibet economy grows
THE economy of the Tibet Autonomous Region grew 12.3 percent in 2010 to 50.7 billion yuan (US$7.7 billion), the local statistics bureau chief said yesterday.
The region's economy has expanded 79.5 percent over the past five years, said Liu Baicheng, director of Tibet Regional Statistics Bureau.
