Bostik eyes 15% growth

ADHESIVES maker Bostik, a unit of French energy company Total, expects China's adhesives market to grow 15 percent this year as it opened a new plant in Jiangsu Province yesterday.

In five to seven years, the Bostik plant in Changshu will eventually be capable of producing 80,000 tons of products, including adhesives, polyester and sealants.

Production is dedicated to the markets for disposable hygiene, packaging, transport and textiles. Initial capacity is designed at about 26,000 tons per year.
