Chinese involvement
AUSTRALIAN mining company Sundance Resources Ltd said yesterday a strategic partner for its US$4 -billion Mbalam iron ore project in West Africa was most likely to be a Chinese state-owned steel mill.
"We have been in discussions with a number of strategic partners and it's not just been solely Chinese - there have been others from Asia, India and Australia," Sundance CEO Guilio Casello told the Global Iron Ore and Steel Forecast conference in Perth yesterday.
