Coal output trim eased
CHINA eased the cut in coal output in the first two months of this year following official call to ensure stable prices, the National Bureau of Statistics said yesterday. Coal output fell 1.7 percent from a year ago in January and February to 510 million tons, but the decline was 4.7 percentage points narrower from the same period of last year, the bureau said. But coal imports increased 48.5 percent from a year earlier to 4.26 million tons in the two months.
