SHANGHAI Electric Group and France's Alstom has agreed to form a 50-50 joint venture by combining their power plant boiler operations.
Combined sales of the their boiler business totaled 2.5 billion euros (US$3.63 billion) in 2010, Alstom said in a statement yesterday.
The joint venture will be registered in Shanghai with an operational headquarters in Singapore.
