Dam's profit jumps

CHINA Three Gorges Project Corp, operator of the world's biggest dam, posted a profit increase of 14 percent last year as sales and production rose. Profits climbed to 11.5 billion yuan (US$1.7 billion), the parent of Shanghai-listed China Yangtze Power Co said in a statement posted on the Website of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission yesterday.
