Evonik meets goal
EVONIK Industries, Germany's largest specialty chemicals maker, said it has achieved the target of China sales of 1 billion euros (US$1.33 billion) for 2010 by the end of October, boosted by strong demand and new production facilities.
Regional sales in the first 10 months were 1.03 billion euros, up almost 50 percent from a year earlier, the company said yesterday. It estimated the Chinese chemical market to take about 20 percent of the global chemicals market in mid-term and aims to realize 2 billion euros in sales in China.
