Fuel fee cut OK

THE Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong yesterday announced it has allowed four airlines to cut fuel surcharges by up to 44 percent for two months from February 1 amid falling global oil prices.

The new maximum fuel surcharge will be adjusted to HK$61 (US$7.87) for short-haul flights and HK$280 for long-haul flights.
