CHINA Power International Development Ltd, a unit of the fifth-biggest Chinese electricity producer, yesterday said it expects to post a loss because of impairment charges and increased coal prices.
The impairment loss will come from writing down the value of four generation units of a power plant in Shanxi Province. The units will be replaced by two new units that are under construction.
