AIIB holds 1st meeting of panel

THE Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank yesterday held the inaugural meeting of its International Advisory Panel, covering green infrastructure among other topics.
The panel discussed the global economic situation and its implications for the bank’s operations, the need to promote green infrastructure in the new global agenda and the importance of increasing private sector involvement in infrastructure in the region, the AIIB said in a statement.
Composed of former government and international organization officials, scholars and other specialists, the panel aims to provide impartial, objective and independent advice to the AIIB president, allowing the AIIB to benefit from the international expertise of panel members.
