Boosting city鈥檚 allure for MICE
THE Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, also known as UFI, is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Shanghai Commerce Commission to set up a representative office in the city.
Shanghai will host the 83rd UFI Global Congress from today to Saturday.
The congress will allow global meetings, incentives, convention and exhibitions industry counterparts to have a better understanding of the city’s MICE industry, Chen Xianjin, director of Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industries Association, said yesterday.
“It is also a rare chance for Shanghai to learn about the convention and exhibition industry’s latest trends and features,” Chen noted.
About 590 members from the MICE industry in more than 50 countries are expected to attend the congress.
