CHINESE shares rose 2.78 percent today, the first time in four trading days, led by gains of heavyweights.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index advanced 2.78 percent to close at 2,468.19 points. The Shenzhen Component Index gained 3.06percent to 9.383.21 points.
