Dallas eyes investments
DALLAS in the United States aims to boost investment from China and is particularly keen to attract Chinese technological and medical investors, its mayor said in Shanghai yesterday.
The city is especially interested in Chinese investment in technology and medical areas in line with Dallas’ economic strength, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, who is leading a business delegation to Shanghai, said.
The city also welcomes investment from smaller businesses in China and would avoid large real estate deals to comply with China’s overseas investment policies, Rawlings added.
Official data showed China is the third largest export destination and the second largest import market for Dallas.
Dallas is also keen to improve tourism links with Shanghai, Rawlings added.
