Expats' forex needs
CHINA has simplified the foreign exchange procedures for expatriates in Shanghai during the World Expo to ease their forex needs, the Shanghai headquarters of the People's Bank of China said yesterday.
Expatriates enjoy an annual exchange quota of US$50,000 or equivalent and the previous daily exchange limit of US$5,000 has been lifted, said the PBOC.
A single exchange of within US$10,000 will also be easier without being registered with the State Administration of Foreign Exchange's system.
