Finance applications see surging popularity

CHINA’S downloads of finance application surged 230 percent in the past three years until 2016, representing fast growing of mobile finance and Fintech sectors and disrupted finance eco-system in the country, a mobile application research firm said today.
The financial applications include mobile banking, mobile payments, peer-to-peer or P2P transfers, personal budgeting and investing.
Finance app downloads spiked to 6.7 billion times in 2016, 230 percent growth compared 2014, more than tripled the download growth rate of non-games apps in the period, said researcher App Annie.
