Firms plan to recruit more in Q2
MORE companies will increase hiring in the second quarter driven by business expansion and the booming Internet sector, a 51job.com survey showed yesterday.
The survey covering 16,326 enterprises nationwide, of which 72 percent are unlisted private companies, revealed that 84.7 percent of the respondents said they will recruit more in the second quarter than they did during the same period of last year.
The reading was 2.5 percentage points higher than the survey result for the first quarter.
Nearly half of those planning to raise hiring in the second quarter attributed the increase to business growth, and more than a quarter said they were changing their business models significantly due to the impact of the Internet, according to the survey.
The Internet, software and financial industries have the greatest demand for university graduates as they offer jobs requiring high technical skills and familiarity with the Internet.
