Gaming revenue jumps
THE revenue of Macau’s gaming industry rose 16.3 percent to 20.16 billion patacas (US$2.5 billion) in April, its gaming industry watchdog said yesterday.
Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau said in a report that the data is the ninth monthly rebound in gaming revenue since August.
Macau’s monthly gaming revenue registered a 1.1 percent year-on-year rise in August, ending a 26-month slump of the industry. Since then the monthly revenue has recorded year-on-year growth.
