Market slips further in morning

SHARES in Shanghai extended drop in the morning session today as blue chips in airline-related sector and coal producers retreated from previous tradings.
The Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.47 percent to 2,696.13. Turnover fell slightly to 40.7 billion yuan (US$6.31 billion).
Coal producers were among the largest drags in the morning trading. Shanxi Lanhua Sci-Tech Venture Co lost 2.7 percent to 44.80 yuan. Yanzhou Coal Mining declined 1.79 percent to 32.90 yuan.
Airline related companies, which rallied among expectations that their business may improve following China's latest deadly bullet train crash, fell this morning amid profit-taking sellings.
Hainan Airlines lost 2.97 percent to 6.87 yuan. China Eastern Airlines decreased 3.04 percent to 5.42 yuan while China Southern Airlines also shed 2.70 percent to 2.28 yuan.
