Nu Skin taps innovation to facilitate corporate growth, social progress
ECHOING China’s drive toward a more innovative economy, the US-based skincare and nutrition company Nu Skin has recently launched a forum tapping innovative minds for sustainable power of social development.
Under the theme of “Making a Dent in the Universe”, an inspirational quote of Steve Jobs, the Nu Skin Innovation Trend Forum took place at the World Expo Center in Shanghai on November 3.
“Innovation and entrepreneurship are becoming powerful engines of social progress,” Zheng Zhong, regional vice president of China at Nu Skin said at the forum.
“Nu Skin believes innovation is no longer exclusive to few elites and every one of us can be an entrepreneurial vanguard as long as we keep our minds open.”
The Nu Skin forum this year provided an avenue for business leaders to ignite innovation in the Internet era. Hosted by Qin Shuo, former chief executive of China Business News, the forum featured Co-founder & CEO of Himalaya FM Yu Jianjun, Founder and CEO of Hujiang.com Fu Cairui, and Chairman of Homekoo.com Li Lianzhu.
Jiang Huilin, regional vice president of Nu Skin China, also shared Nu Skin’s experience in pursuing innovation.
“The vitality of business lies in innovation. A company following the same routine day after day has no future,” Jiang said. “Nu Skin has carried forward its inborn quality of innovation for more than 30 years, which has contributed to its success in 54 markets across the world.”
With anti-aging technology, Nu Skin has developed a slew of innovative products including micro-nutrient supplement LifePak Nano, which adopts nanotechnology and provides nutritional support to all major body systems, and its flagship ageLOC® product line.
The company is set to renew the vibrancy of its business with the launch of ageLOC Me, an anti-ageing skin care system, next year.
The system features skin assessment and customized skincare which delivers a precise dose of anti-aging products based on skin condition and preference of its user.
Innovation is reflected in Nu Skin’s corporate social responsibility programs. Through its Nourish the Children initiative, Nu Skin has worked with leading experts to develop VitaMeal, a meal package containing essential nutrients for children’s growth, in a push to help malnourished children.
